A network of pilgrimage routes leading to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, the traditional site of St. James’ tomb. This famous route has been traveled by dozens of saints and other famous persons dating back over 1000 years. The route network was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1993.
In 47 AD, Our Lady appeared to a recent Christian convert, in a chapel built few years before on a high mountain. This woman was plagued by a serious illness and no doctor had been able to help.
